Hope Residential & Nursing Care Home, Cambridge
The Hope Residential & Nursing Care Home is an established 57 bed care home in central Cambridge. It is set in extensive mature gardens creating a peaceful atmosphere alongside the Botanical Gardens.
The Hope was established in 1940 by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Bordeaux and originally functioned as a small hospital. In 1989 it was decided to extend and refurbish the Home to provide residential and nursing care to older people. In 1999 the Sisters sought the assistance of The Hospital Management Trust to develop and manage the Home. The emphasis is to ensure that the care residents receive meets the standards which everyone would wish for their own families and closest friends.

Liz Hill, the Matron Manager has over 30 years nursing experience, and has an NVQ4 in healthcare management. Liz has worked for The Hope for 16 years, the last 4 as Matron Manager. When asked what makes The Hope special Liz says:
“The Hope has a sound name and reputation in the care community, providing a high level of committed and sensitive care.
Continuity of staff is particularly valuable to residents. A large number of our staff have been employed by the home for many years and our staff turnover is very low. We serve many local families and would welcome your visit and questions at anytime.”
