Facilities...

photoAccommodation

The Home has 57 bedrooms spread over three floors. The top two floors house residents requiring nursing care and the ground floor is home to more independent residents and comprises the residential part of the Home. All bedrooms have washbasins and six bedrooms are ensuite.

Residents are encouraged to bring with them personal decorative items to enhance the individuality of their room.

Staffing

Registered nurses are on duty 24 hours a day and all the care staff are trained to meet any specialised needs of residents. The Home promotes a continuous training policy where staff at all levels are encouraged to avail themselves of learning opportunities. Care that is given is carried out with confidence and a recognised level of efficiency.

Prior to admission, a qualified nurse visits a prospective resident in their own home. This creates an opportunity to meet and discuss any possible fears or anxieties. It also affords the prospect to establish a sound relationship.

Reception is covered between the hours of 8am and 6pm and a Financial Administrator is also available during office hours to answer any administrative queries.

Hairdressing

There is a hairdressing salon in the Home especially designed with the needs of the older person in mind. A hairdresser visits the Home every Thursday.
