Residents' comments...
Resident and Relative Meetings are held regularly which provide an opportunity for residents and their families to comment of day to day operations of the Home. The meeting also provides the opportunity to inform residents and relatives of forthcoming events, any changes and any relevant news such as changes in regulation.
At least once a year The Hospital Management Trust conducts a Residents and Relatives survey to obtain feedback and comments on the services we provide allowing us to identify where we can improve things. The questionnaire covers topics such as the standard of nursing and care provided, the comfort of bedrooms, the standard of catering and the courtesy and skill of the staff. Freepost envelopes are provided so that the completed questionnaires are sent directly to head office; we believe that this encourages residents and relatives to provide honest responses.
Trustees and senior managers from the Hospital Management Trust visit the Care Centre regularly and conduct unannounced visits. During these visit they will seek views, comments and suggestions from residents, relatives and staff. Conducting unannounced visits is a requirement under the Care Standards Act.
