Claremont Hospital, Sheffield
Founded in 1953 by the Sisters of the Institute of Our Lady of Mercy, the Claremont Hospital became part of The Hospital Management Trust in 2001.
With
the active support of local consultants, the Claremont has an excellent
reputation in the Sheffield area for its quality of care. At present
it has 41 beds, most of which are in single rooms with some ensuite,
and all with nurse-call, TV and telephone.
The hospital is committed to the highest standards in all its services and recently won the Healthcare Accreditation Programme award. The accreditation was awarded after a full assessment and lasts for 2 years.
The influence of the Sisters can still be found in the chapel, which is a calm haven for thought and prayer and to which everyone is welcome.
