Types of care offered...

Residential

Residential care provides accommodation, meals and personal care, such as help with bathing and dressing, for those who are finding it difficult to cope at home, or who need more help than their home carers are able to provide but are not in need of nursing care. Usually the minimum age for admission is 65.

Nursing

Nursing care provides accommodation, meals and personal care, such as help with bathing and dressing. Nursing care is provided by qualified nurses and supported by care assistants.

Respite

Respite care is a short-term admission to a care home for people who are usually looked after by a relative or carer at home or have been in hospital and require convalescence care following discharge. Respite stays give home based carers the opportunity to take holidays and breaks with peace of mind, knowing that their relative or patient is in a safe and homely environment with 24 hour care available.

Dementia Care

A dedicated closer supervision area within a care home provides care for residents who may have dementia or more highly specialised nursing needs.

Day Care

Day care is a service provided during ordinary working hours for people who live in their own homes but may require assistance with medication, meal preparation or washing. Day care also provides an opportunity for social interaction through participation in organised activities. Services such as physiotherapy, chiropody and hairdressing can also be easily arranged.
