Ian Seal, Catering Manager and his team offers a wide choice of meals to meet individual tastes and nutritional needs as well as catering for special diets. Dietary requirements are identified by a registered nurse by means of a nutritional assessment. The weekly menus are compiled with emphasis placed on using high quality fresh seasonal ingredients, home made food and providing a balanced and varied diet.
Birthdays are celebrated with a cake and themed menus are developed to celebrate special occasions throughout the year.
Meal times are a very important part of the day to day events in the home. A dietary comments book is located on each of the care areas and resident and relatives are encouraged to use this book to record their views both positive and negative so that the catering staff can establish like and dislikes in both the menu and the service delivered.
